Western Mongolia is a province of majestic snow-capped mountains and different ethnic groups. Among the ethnic groups, Kazak Muslim people are the most famous as they have been preserving their original customs and traditions compared to the Kazaks of different countries. They hunt with a trained eagle. Every family plays, dances and sings with the dombra instrument, wear traditional embroidered clothes and live in colourful slightly bigger gers than the gers in other parts of Mongolia. They celebrate the Eagle hunting festival and Traditional New year every year. Also the famous throat singing originated from Western Mongolia. Mongolia is considered cradle of first men. Particularly, western Mongolia contains many evidence of earliest man as petroglyphs in the caves and on rocks, first man’s settlements, burial mounds, and stone figures belong to different periods in history.
